Of course, roasted peanuts are a delicious snack at any time of the year if you need something sweet. But not only that, they are also perfect as souvenirs, nicely packaged.
120 g sugar
30ml oat milk
1 tsp vanilla sugar
1 pinch of salt
200 g peeled peanuts
Bring the sugar, water, vanilla sugar and salt to a boil in a pan.
Boil the sugar water until the sugar has dissolved and a clear syrup is formed.
Add the peanuts to the syrup and stir well. The sugar will now form a white layer around the nuts. This dissolves after a few minutes and forms a crispy caramel coat around the nuts. Caution: you must always stir during caramelization. Otherwise, the sugar will burn easily and become bitter.
Now spread the caramelized nuts flat and evenly on a piece of baking paper and leave to cool completely.
