Admittedly, the name "banana bread" is a bit confusing in our latitudes. By bread we mean something hearty, crispy and not cake. Because that's exactly what banana bread is. A delicious, soft, moist and a little bit sticky cake.

Of course we also refine this recipe with our peanut butter!

Ingredients

3 very ripe bananas
100g sugar
4 tbsp vegetable oil
4 tbsp plant milk
70 g oats
170 g whole wheat flour
2 tbsp chopped walnuts
1 1/1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
100g sugar
25 g chocolate drops (vegan)
60 g peanut butter

Preparation

Mash 2 bananas with a fork and mix well with the remaining ingredients (sugar, oil, milk, flour, walnuts, baking powder, cinnamon) in a bowl.

Pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with baking paper. Then spread the peanut butter lengthwise on the dough and spread it in the dough with the back of a spoon in circular movements. This creates peanut butter swirls that make the banana bot even juicier.

Halve the remaining banana lengthwise and place cut side up on top of the dough along with the chocolate chips.

Bake the banana bread at 180 degrees (top/bottom heat) for about 30 - 40 minutes and leave to cool in the tin. Bon appetit!
